We are starting a new project for the Tree Hutt and would love your support. We are going to produce a book that will be given to children as they are admitted to the Hutt Hospital Emergency Department. The book will be free and based on ‘distraction therapy’. It will have several stories that follow the 6 Tree Hutt characters as they experience the emergency department such as Pip the Kiwi breaking a leg and experiencing the X-ray department and ending up staying a night with a plaster cast on. The story will be short with coloured illustrations that would cover the treatment and interaction with nurses and doctors along with the different equipment they use.

Then there would be some of the same images as line drawings that the children could colour in, as well as information on the Tree Hutt and its characters, and a subscription form to join the ‘Friends of the Tree Hutt’. By joining, the child would receive a welcome pack, introductory special offer on Tree Hutt products and freebies like a Friends of the Tree Hutt wall certificate, Tree Hutt balloons, small pack of coloured pencils and a Tree Hutt poster.

At the back of the book would be a Bravery Certificate that would be filled out and stamped by the Hospital staff.

We have set up a Givealittle page to fundraise for the book and are also looking for sponsors:
